Step back in time this May bank holiday and join us at Sheffield Manor Lodge for two days of history and hands-on fun!
Featuring the talented Ferrers reenactment group, this event brings the medieval period to life with living history camps, battle demonstrations and interactive activities for all ages.
Meet the Ferrers
The Ferrers Household are a fifteenth century reenactment society portraying the knights, squires and highly skilled craftspeople under the command of Sir Walter Devereux – a loyal supporter of Richard of York during the Wars of the Roses.

Get in the medieval spirit with a range of exciting activities in our mini arena and support your chosen champion! The victor will be announced at the end of the day!

• Explore the Ferrers’ living encampment and medieval forge
• Discover traditional medieval craftsmanship
• Watch medieval tourneys and battle demonstrations
• Enjoy kids’ jousting, dressing up and outdoor games
• Listed to traditional Tudor music performed by the Doncaster Waites (Sunday only)

Getting here
The address for Sheffield Manor Lodge is 197 Manor Lane, Sheffield, S2 1UJ.
There is free onsite parking at Sheffield Manor Lodge and additional parking at Manor Oaks House.
Parking is limited so please consider using public transport, travelling with others or walking to site if possible.
Where can I eat?
Drinks, snacks and ice creams are available to buy at the Discovery Centre. You’re very welcome to have a picnic in our grounds, but please dispose of any litter.
Bradway Quality Meats and Deli will be providing barbecue food on both days.
The Rhubarb Shed Café nearby will be open and you can book a table by giving them a call on 0737 536 6429. They will also be serving takeaway food.
Are dogs allowed?
We welcome assistance dogs only.

We strongly encourage all visitors to book tickets in advance to avoid disappointment as there will be limited tickets available on the day.
